Job Description

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the HR function. This role ensures alignment of HR strategies with the company’s goals, fosters a strong organizational culture, and oversees all core HR disciplines including employee relations, benefits administration, legal compliance, payroll, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills, capable of advocating for both employee and business interests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR policies and strategies in alignment with business objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective employee relations.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership in performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Streamline HR operations using technology and best practices to drive efficiency.
  • Serve as a key liaison between employees and management to support open communication.
  • Monitor HR trends and provide guidance on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct supervision of the Human Resources team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Min of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience in Healthcare.
  • Strong ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing HR staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS/Payroll systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Travel required

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
