Job Description

Position Summary:

The estimator will oversee project development from paper to completion, focusing on: Rough and Finish Carpentry and overall construction estimating.

  • Accurate estimation of production costs.
  • Obtaining Vendor and Subcontractor qualified bids.
  • Resource planning within budget constraints.
  • Logistics mapping for proposals.
  • Coordination with stakeholders (subcontractors, PMs, and clients).

Key Responsibilities

  • Must have valid drivers license to attend site visits and job walks for bid preparation.
  • Review all front ends, plans, and specifications.
  • Review and integrate specifications, permits, and requirements into bids.
  • Obtain subcontractor/vendor quotes and evaluate proposals.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, material lists, and budgets.
  • Utilize estimating software for accuracy.
  • Coordinate insurance reviews and contractual compliance.
  • Maintain professional communication and follow-up with clients and teams.
  • Perform post-project audits and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Attend outreach events to foster client relationships.

  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, technology, and safety.
  • Communication and running meetings/reviews with clients
  • Detail Oriented

Computer Proficiency-

  • Microsoft Office, Onscreen Take Off, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, Procore (or similar).
  • Building Connected

Education & Experience-

  • Bachelor’s in construction, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience as an estimator with a general contractor.
  • Expertise in rough carpentry and lumber take-offs.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $115,000–$140,000
  • Full Medical Covered by Employer including Vision and Dental, after 5 years we pay half of all dependents
  • 2 weeks of Vacation (Paid)
  • Donation Program
