· Use profilometers, comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure parts conform to customer-specified tolerances.

· Confirm that all incoming components meet quality standards and customer requirements before they are sent for processing.

Post-Processing Inspections:

· Conduct post-processing inspections to ensure components meet the required outcome specifications after treatments.

· Verify that the parts meet the desired surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and any other specific customer expectations.

· Record and report inspection results, noting any deviations from required outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Accurately document all inspection findings for both pre- and post-processing stages, ensuring that all records are clear and precise.

· Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles when necessary to verify that parts conform to design requirements.

· Work closely with production teams to communicate quality issues and suggest corrective actions to ensure compliance with customer expectations.

Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:

· Ensure all measuring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained for accurate inspection results.

· Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions or issues with measuring tools or inspection equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Proficient in using mechanical measurement equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, profilometers, gauges, and FARO arms.

· Knowledge of Abrasive Flow Machining processing techniques.

· Knowledge of Quality Standards (ISO, QS, AS, MIL, ANSI) and the ability to apply them during inspections.

· Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for interpreting and verifying component specifications.

· Strong ability to identify deviations and ensure compliance with both pre- and post-processing specifications.

· Ability to accurately document and maintain inspection findings in compliance with quality management systems.

Experience:

· Experience in quality control, particularly in manufacturing environments using precision measurement tools and techniques.

· Familiarity with Abrasive Flow Machining processes, or similar surface finishing and processing techniques.

· Experience in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
