MICA Consulting is happy to be partnering with OPAL Fuels on a retained sesarch for the Senior Director, Talent Aquisition.

Position Summary

The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition is a key role responsible for overseeing all hiring activities from Vice President level and below, while also supporting Senior Vice President and Executive Leadership Team hirings in close coordination with the Co-CEOs and Chairman.

Based on-site in White Plains, NY, this role leads the full recruitment lifecycle—from strategy and sourcing to onboarding—across all business units. The position also manages the Manager, Talent Acquisition and is accountable for maintaining the organizational chart and the Applicant Tracking System (“ATS”), driving process and system adoption, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering hiring progress reports to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or industrial operations and demonstrated career growth—starting in an HR generalist role and progressing into talent acquisition leadership. This person should have strong executive presence, proven experience with leadership hiring, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for VP-level and below positions across the enterprise.
  • Support Co-CEOs and Chairman in coordinating and facilitating SVP and SLT hiring processes.
  • Manage and coach the Manager, Talent Acquisition, ensuring high performance across the TA function.
  • Own and optimize the ATS (e.g., JazzHR, Workday, SuccessFactors), ensuring accuracy, adoption, and efficiency.
  • Deliver regular hiring metrics and progress updates to executive leadership.
  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and external firms to build strong, diverse pipelines of talent.
  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience and internal recruitment process.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR and talent acquisition experience, with clear career growth into TA leadership.
  • 3+ years in a senior or director-level recruitment role, preferably in fast-paced or publicly traded environments.
  • Proven experience managing VP-level and leadership hiring; experience supporting C-suite searches is highly desirable.
  • Industry background in Energy, Construction, Manufacturing are desirable.
  • Strong technical skills with ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, JazzHR) and recruitment reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and ability to partner closely with senior leadership.
